Los Angeles Philharmonic Opening Night Concert & Gala

JPCF, a proud supporter of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and their youth programs such as YOLA, had a wonderful time celebrating the start of the 2016-17 season with a performance of Gershwin and the Jazz Age led by Maestro Gustavo Dudamel. The evening featured incredible renditions of Gershwin, Ellington, Porter and Bernstein. It was a fantastic way to kick off the season!

JPCF Closes Out KCET Cinema Series With A Screening Of James Coburn’s ‘What Did You Do In The War, Daddy?’

As proud sponsors of the KCET Cinema Series, the James and Paula Coburn Foundation is excited to screen ‘What Did You Do In The War, Daddy?’ starring James Coburn and Dick Shawn. In this 1966 comedy, a by-the-book captain is ordered to capture a strategic village in Italy. The Italian soldiers are willing to surrender, if they can have a festival first. Hilarity ensues…

JPCF On Host Committee For Smile Gala 2015

The James and Paula Coburn Foundation is honored to attend tonight’s Smile Gala and is looking forward to gathering with such a wonderful group of people in an effort to raise money and awareness for an extremely important cause.
Operation Smile is an international medical charity whose global network of thousands of credentialed medical volunteers from more than 80 countries is dedicated to helping improve the health and lives of children from more than 60 countries. They’ve provided more than 220,000 free surgical procedures for children and young adults born with cleft lip, cleft palate and other facial deformities. To build long-term sufficiency in resource poor environments, they train doctors and local medical professionals in their partner countries so they’re empowered to treat their local communities. They also donate medical equipment and supplies and provide year-round medical treatments through their worldwide centers.

Los Angeles Philharmonic Gala – The Brilliance of Beethoven

The James and Paula Coburn Foundation was extremely honored and delighted to attend the 2015 Los Angeles Philharmonic Gala. Music and Artistic Director Gustavo Dudamel conducted an incredible tribute to the great Beethoven as he led an orchestra comprised of members from both the LA Philharmonic as well as the Simon Bolivar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela. The James and Paula Coburn Foundation is proud to support the efforts of the LA Phil as well as Gustavo Dudamel’s youth orchestra program YOLA, through which the LA Phil and its community partners provide free instruments, intensive music training, and academic support to over 600 students from underserved neighborhoods, empowering them to become vital citizens, leaders, and agents of change.
